AI Thumbnail Generator

Generate an eye-catching YouTube/stream thumbnail from your title

Login required

Need a YouTube thumbnail without opening an image editor?

Type your headline, choose a style, and the AI YouTube thumbnail generator creates a 16:9 image with your text set large and bold, ready to download.

Your thumbnail sits right next to your title in every feed, and a short, readable headline with a clear composition helps a video stand out. Enter a main headline of up to 120 characters, plus optional supporting text, and the generator builds a widescreen 16:9 thumbnail around it. Keep the headline to a few strong words; thumbnails are often seen at small sizes, and short text stays readable.

Choose from four styles: Vibrant, Cinematic, Minimal or Reaction. The result works as a YouTube video thumbnail or a Twitch stream cover. If the first image isn't quite right, tweak the wording or switch styles and generate again. Each attempt is a fresh image, so small wording changes can give quite different layouts.

You need to be signed in, and each image costs 150 coins, shown before you generate. If generation fails, the coins are refunded automatically. Finished thumbnails download straight away as PNG or JPG files. The tool works from text only; uploading your own photo into the design isn't supported.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI thumbnail cost?+

150 coins per image, shown before you generate. If generation fails, the coins are refunded automatically.

What size is the thumbnail?+

It's a 16:9 widescreen image, the shape used for YouTube thumbnails and stream covers.

Can I download it, and in what format?+

Yes. Click Download to save it as a PNG or JPG, depending on what was generated.

What styles are available?+

Four: Vibrant, Cinematic, Minimal and Reaction.

Can I use it for a Twitch stream cover, not just YouTube?+

Yes. The 16:9 image works for both YouTube video thumbnails and Twitch stream covers.

You can, but thumbnail text works best short. Try two to five punchy words as the headline and put extra detail in the supporting text.

Can I regenerate if I don't like the first one?+

Yes. Adjust the text or style and generate again; each generation is charged separately.

Can I upload my own photo?+

Not currently. The generator creates the image from your headline and chosen style only.
