Chat Skin Store

Buy a chat message background — when you type in the stream chat, your message shows the skin you picked.

Only shows up on channels using the AliceTears chat overlay in OBS — not on Twitch's own chat.

What is a custom chat skin, and where does it show up?

The Chat Skin Store is a collection of chat bubble styles for the AliceTears chat overlay in OBS. Preview each one with your own name before unlocking it with coins.

A chat skin sets the background, text colour and glow of a chat bubble. Skins apply to the AliceTears chat overlay that a streamer adds to OBS, not to Twitch's own chat window, and they never change the message itself, only the bubble around it.

There are six skins right now: Default (free), Sunset, Ocean, Neon, Galaxy and Gold, priced from 300 to 1,000 coins. Every card shows a live preview of a chat bubble with your name in it, so you can see exactly how it looks before you buy. The preview uses the same background, text colour and glow that the overlay renders, so what you see on the card is what appears on stream.

You need to sign in to buy. A purchased skin stays in your account permanently and is set as your active skin straight away, and you can switch between skins you own at any time. If you're short on coins, top up on the Coins page. Streamers pick the bubble style their overlay uses on the Chat Overlay Setup page.

How to use

  1. Sign in and preview each skin's chat bubble
  2. Buy the one you like with coins (Default is free)
  3. Your new skin is set as active right after purchase
  4. Click Use on any other skin you own to switch

Frequently asked questions

On the AliceTears chat overlay that a streamer adds to OBS. They don't appear in Twitch's native chat window.

How much does a chat skin cost?+

Default is free; the others cost 300 to 1,000 coins. Each price is shown on the skin's card, and you can top up on the Coins page.

Can I preview a skin before buying?+

Yes. Every card shows a sample chat bubble with your name in that skin's colours and effects.

Can I switch between skins I own?+

Yes. Purchased skins stay in your account permanently; click Use to switch at any time.

Does a skin change my messages or just the look?+

Yes. Sign in to your AliceTears account to buy and switch skins.

How does a streamer change the chat bubble style on stream?+

Open Chat Overlay Setup, pick a style from the list and copy the link into an OBS Browser Source. That style applies to every message on screen.
